Let's Be Audacious.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
Audacity. This word has been living rent-free in my mind for the past month. Ever since I came across it in Chapter 1 of The Artist’s Way, it hasn’t let go. Julia Cameron writes, “Very often audacity, not talent, makes one person an artist.” And then later in the chapter, she adds, “All too often, it is audacity and not talent that moves an artist to center stage.”
That notion struck me to the core. It made me think of artists whose work ends up in museums — like the one who paints an entire canvas cerulean blue or something seemingly simple. We’ve all heard the comments from passersby: “I could do that” or “my daughter could make that.” But here’s the thing: they didn’t. The difference between the artist and the viewer isn’t skill — it’s audacity. The audacity to paint an entire canvas cerulean blue. To create something unapologetically. To boldly put it into the world.
Audacity is what separates those who dare to try from those who only imagine.

I’m also reminded of this incredible quote from Steve Jobs when I think about this notion:
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
― Steve Jobs
So, let’s be audacious.
If you’re hesitating because you don’t feel talented enough or skilled enough to act on your wildest dreams, take a deep breath—because that’s not the point. The point is having the audacity to do it anyway.
